From January 1, 2020, all products imported into the Saudi market will be required to display a bar code, which consists of 13 digits, on their packaging, according to the Saudi standards bureau. Bar code can be printed on the outer box, or printed as a sticker on the outer box.
The bar code compilation rules are determined by the factory and can be compiled according to the product model or the series of products, that is, different models of the same series of products can share one bar code. Barcodes require 13 digits to be scanned.
From January 1, 2020, the packing list invoice provided when shipment must show bar code, and the invoice must be stamped.
