How to purchase the appropriate barcode scanner
The iris scanner USES photoelectric coupling (CCD) to image the barcode and then decode it. Its advantages are: no shaft, no motor, long life; It's cheap. When selecting the iris scanner gun, the two most important parameters are:
1, the depth of field
Since the imaging principle of photocoupled CCD is similar to that of a camera, if the depth of field is to be increased, the corresponding lens is to be enlarged, thus making the iris scanning gun too large for easy operation. A good iris scanner should be able to scan and read without having to stick to the bar code label.
If the resolution of the iris scanner gun is to be improved, the unit pixel of the photosensitive element of the imaging system must be increased. The low-price rainbow light scanning gun is generally 500 pixels. It is enough to read the commercial bar codes such as EAN and UPC. It will be more difficult to read other bar codes. The mid-range iris scanner USES 1024 pixels, some as high as 2048 pixels, and can distinguish bar codes with the narrowest unit element of 0.1mm.
